Dan Jing Wu

Dan Jing Wu, PhD. She started her PhD research at TU/e in the Biomedical Materials and Chemistry group under supervision of prof. dr. dr. P.Y.W. Dankers, in collaboration with prof. dr. C.V.C. Bouten. In her PhD research, she focused on the development of adaptive supramolecular biomaterials via chemistry and engineering. She won the best pitch award at Famelab TU/e 2019 and the KNCV Spotlight prize 2020.

Next to her scientific career, she is the co-founder of the Dutch fashion label NOYA NOIR where she setup international production facilities and distribution. She was nominated in de VIVA400 as one of the ambitious and enterprising women of 2019. Additionally, she was selected as a ‘Faces of Science’ young ambassador from the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). In 2023, she was selected as one of the Financieel Dagblad (Dutch Financial Times) 50 talent under 35 and won the Innovasion Award 2023.
