Muhabbat Komil
Polymer Scientist
Muhabbat obtained her bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering, where she studied nanoparticle synthesis by reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization for her bachelor thesis in the group dr. Jos Paulusse in the University of Twente. Muhabbat continued at the University of Twente and obtained her master degree cum laude in Biomedical Engineering. During her internship she studied chemo enzymatic synthesis of vinyl glycomonomers in the group of prof. dr. Martina Stenzel at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. Afterwards, she continued in the group of dr. Jos Paulusse with her master thesis, working on synthesis of well-defined functional glycopolymers by RAFT polymerization and the subsequent single chain glycopolymer nanoparticle formation.
In 2023, Muhabbat received her doctorate degree at the TU/e. Currently, she is working as a polymer scientist to optimize and scale up biomaterials for regenerative applications.
